Agua de Limones has rhythm, movement, and lots of interaction. It’s perfect for transitions, brain breaks, or simply to bring smiles and energy into the classroom. Best of all, it offers a meaningful way to introduce culture and language in a natural and joyful way.
I hope your students enjoy it as much as I did when I was a child. Sometimes, the simplest games create the most lasting memories.
How to play it?
The participants form a circle and walk in the same direction holding hands while singing the song. When they say “Hey!” they change direction and sing it again. At the end of the song, the circle breaks and students form groups based on the teacher’s instructions.
